About the role
Do you want to learn how sales works within a growing SaaS company and discover how to help customers make the right choices for their software landscape? As an Account Manager Intern, you will be part of our Sales team and support colleagues in their contact with leads, existing customers, and prospects in the Netherlands and Belgium.
You will learn how we identify customer needs, build relationships, and follow up on opportunities. You will observe conversations, help with the preparation and follow-up of sales activities, and gain insight into how Aqqo works with municipalities, sports facilities, meeting venues, and commercial customers, among others.
Because we have room for two sales interns, you will not only work independently on your own learning goals, but you can also collaborate with another intern within the team.
What will you do
During your internship, you will contribute to various areas within Sales and account management. Depending on your study program, learning goals, and internship days, you may work on:
- Supporting the follow-up of leads and existing customer questions.
- Observing customer conversations and sales meetings.
- Helping prepare customer appointments, quotations, and follow-up emails.
- Mapping customer organizations and contact persons and recording information neatly in the CRM.
- Thinking along about how we give customers insight into our product, the market, and suitable solutions.
- Supporting the follow-up of quotations and actions toward customers.
- Working with colleagues from Sales, Customer Success, and Product when customer questions require it.
- Learning to work with HubSpot and contributing to clear sales administration.
- Collecting input from customer conversations and sharing signals with the Sales team.
- Thinking along about improvements to our sales approach, customer communication, and follow-up processes.
About you
- You are following an MBO 4 program in Account Management or an HBO program in Commercial Economics.
- You are looking for an internship from 31 August 2026 to 1 February 2027.
- You are interested in sales, account management, SaaS, and digital solutions.
- You enjoy working in a customer-oriented way and want to learn how to build sustainable customer relationships.
- You are curious, independent, and motivated to get to know a domain and product well.
- You communicate clearly and professionally, both with colleagues and customers.
- You work accurately, record activities properly, and follow up on actions carefully.
- You are stress-resistant, flexible, and dare to take responsibility for your own tasks.
- You are a team player who is happy to help when needed.
- You dare to ask questions, give feedback, and actively contribute ideas for improvements.
- Bonus: you have an affinity with software, CRM systems, municipalities, sports facilities, or commercial customer processes.
