About the role
You will make an important contribution to this through your experience as an account manager for government customers. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the top 50 municipalities in the Netherlands and Belgium. With your experience and by bringing together customer wishes, you ensure hands-on implementations and satisfied customers.
What will you do
- Take on different roles with leads and customers, with emphasis on existing customers.
- Give customers insight into the product and the market while empathizing with their challenges.
- Build strong relationships with (semi-)government and commercial customers.
- Involve colleagues (founder or specialist) in a timely manner for complex clients or leads.
- Map customer organizations (DMUs, questions) and maintain oversight.
- Help customers make good choices for their application landscape (POS, accounting, reservations, access control).
- Prepare, send, and follow up on quotes.
- Ensure smooth handover to colleagues when new assignments are signed.
- Take responsibility for contract value, sales cycles, and contract conditions throughout the agreement period.
- Work in HubSpot, making use of HubSpot Academy when needed.
- Report weekly in the sales team meeting.
- Participate in tenders if applicable.
- Support customer onboarding as an implementation consultant: create implementation plans, provide training sessions, and collaborate with project leaders.
- Learn the system from A to Z so you can guide customers effectively.
About you
- 5+ years of experience as an account manager.
- Experience with software implementations at municipalities or semi-governmental organizations.
- Motivated to become a domain expert and deliver quality.
- Preferably have accounting knowledge and understand revenue recognition processes.
- Want to understand the rental of (sports) accommodations market and become a consultant for customers in cash register, lighting, access control, and building management systems.
- Stress-resistant, independent, and flexible.
- A team player who helps when needed.
- Take responsibility with customers and act professionally in difficult situations.
- Work accurately and properly record/follow up activities in CRM.
