About the role
As Key Account Manager – Public Sector at Aqqo, you’ll take ownership of strategic government clients and manage complex commercial trajectories, including public tenders. You’ll act as a trusted partner for stakeholders in finance, IT, real estate, and policy. Your goal is to build long-term relationships and guide clients through every step of the process.
You’ll work closely with our New Business Account Manager for the public sector, who focuses on generating new opportunities. Your focus is on tenders and managing existing strategic accounts.
This is a commercial role with high responsibility, but no people management.
What will you do
Strategic Account Management
- Manage and grow a small portfolio of high-impact government clients
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders in finance, IT, and operations
- Lead strategic conversations and shape long-term account plans
Tenders & Complex Trajectories
- Lead public tender processes (RFI, RFP, EMVI) for existing clients
- Collaborate on new tenders with the New Business Account Manager
- Coordinate input from product, consultancy, and marketing
- Prepare and evaluate proposals, contracts, and Statements of Work
Solution Positioning
- Clearly explain our platform, architecture, and data flows
- Discuss trade-offs, options, and scenarios with client stakeholders
- Translate complex questions into clear, executable solutions
Internal Collaboration & Handover
- Document agreements and updates in CRM
- Share client and market insights with product and leadership
- Ensure smooth handovers to Customer Success
- Act as the commercial contact during escalations
Workstyle
- Work closely with the New Business and Government Account team
- Roughly 50% at the office and 50% at client locations
About you
You’re an experienced commercial professional with a strong understanding of public sector dynamics and long-term sales processes.
You:
- Have a background in public sector or enterprise sales
- Know how to manage tenders and long-term commercial trajectories
- Are confident leading conversations across multiple departments
- Understand SaaS, data architecture, integrations, and APIs
- Communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams
- Stay structured and focused in complex processes
- Work well in close collaboration and shared ownership
- Have an active public sector network (a plus) and know how to use it
